When we opened 50 founding spots for Charity Captain Charter Members, we didn't know what to expect. We hoped a few extraordinary organizations would step forward. What happened exceeded everything we'd imagined.
Within days, we heard from food banks and after-school programs, environmental nonprofits and arts organizations, animal shelters and community health clinics. Organizations doing remarkable work in their communities — and struggling with the same problem: how do you tell a story that does justice to what you're actually doing?

We got on calls with as many of our early members as we could. We asked them one question: what made you sign up?

Over the coming months, we'll be featuring each of our Charter Members on The Captain's Log. We'll tell the story of their mission, their impact, and what they're building. We'll show the publications they create with Charity Captain and the responses they get from their donors.
These aren't case studies. They're stories. Stories of organizations doing hard, important work — and finally having a way to tell the world about it.
